Today is a very exciting day for me! It’s my first day at playgroup. 🙂
Mummy was late waking up and rushed me through my breakfast after her bath. I picked up on some of her excitment and didn’t feel like eating. I did drink Meiji milk from my blue cup though. 🙂
Off we went to my playgroup which was conveniently downstairs. I took off my shoes and socks all by myself and got praised for being a clever girl. Teacher Janet checked my mouth but I didn’t like the way she squeezed my cheeks. Then she sterilised my hands with the sterlising liquid that Daddy and Mummy bought for me at Watsons.
Inside, we played with stacking toys while waiting for other classmates who were also late. There was a classmate, Samantha, who kept throwing toys everywhere. I thought it looked like fun and tried too. Mummy told me that it was not okay for me to throw just because other people were throwing. When everyone arrived, Teacher Janet sang the “Keep Your Toys” song and we kept all the toys. I was helped Teacher Sharon keep all the toys that were on the floor.
It was song time! Teacher Janet sang songs. Though I liked songs, I got a little scared when everyone was moving around and clung to Mummy. Mummy told me to be brave and clap hands if I didn’t want to dance.
After songs, Teacher Sharon took the basket with our water bottles and handed it over to Teacher Janet. Teacher Janet held up each bottle and asked whose it was and each of us went up to get our own bottle. Mummy taught me how to open and close the cover for the straw. I happily drank from my Barney water bottle and handed it back to Teacher Janet after finishing.
After songs, Teacher Janet taught us how to make hand puppets from a glove. There was happy, sad, suprised, sleepy and angry faces on it. Mummy helped me to draw the faces and write my name on the glove. When it is finished, I didn’t want to play with it cause it was too big for my hand so Mummy helped me keep it in my bag.
By this time, I was tired and hungry. Mummy let me eat 2 cookies that she asked Auntie Ingred put in my bag as I didn’t eat breakfast. After that, I drank some water.
It was time to go home! I took my bag and water bottle from Teacher Sharon and lined up to go outside to wear my shoes and socks. Mummy helped me wear my socks and shoes.
Teacher Janet taught us the “Goodbye” song and we all went home!
